Sinead ✩

On Saturday, I met Sinead on a cute trip to Brick Lane, where we saw some live music and talked about fun things and looked round the shops. We also bumped into Dani and some pals momentarily which was strange but sweet~~~

Sinead and I went to Rough Trade and some vintage shops, talking about art and FKA Twigs and it was super lovely and sunny!! We then spontaneously walked into a Pop-Up shop and Sinead Harnett and MNEK were singing there; we watched both sets and they were both soo good~ we spoke to them after, which was so fun because they were really friendly. We also wandered around some clothes and record stores and Sinead's outfit was too cute <33

Some Candy Talking

Yesterday I got send my copy of Wes Anderzine, a fab zine devoted to art and writing inspired by Wes Anderson's films. I contributed a lil drawing to it which is super exciting as well?! 

On the subject of Wes, I saw The Grand Budapest Hotel a week ago and it was absolutely top notch, Ralph Fiennes was an total darling, a brilliant new addition to the Anderson family. It was one of Wes' most aesthetically beautiful films so far in my opinion, particularly because of the pastel pink of the Mendl's packaging and hotel walls, and the lovely shots of the dark blue hotel at night with the little yellow windows. 

I met up with Dani in half term too, which was super cute - we wandered around Brick Lane and Shoreditch, ate bagels and chewed bubble gum. I got some disposables developed too, from Christmas and New Year.

the smiths and prozac nation

So this April, after reading Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel, I've been listening to Nirvana and The Smiths a lot and feeling that whole vibe (don't hate me for using the word 'vibe'?).. I mean that kindof 80s grungey, melancholy style that goes with old bunches of flowers and denim jackets with scuffed black matte Doc Martens and Velvet Underground vinyls with a bit of angst, and Ian Curtis from Joy Division's voice singing in the background.. Like that photo shoot of The Smiths walking round those abandoned gas works with Morrissey holding a handful of daffodils? It's hard to explain.. But I hope these photos sort of sum it up?
