FUR //

RT ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ARTA ART
It's almost CHRISTMAS that means a new Peace xmas song cover and festivities and holidays soon!!! Time 4 lots of fur and tea and tinsel everywhere (Also seeing Peace for the 6th time in December!!)

I also recently did lots of work experience at the National Portrait Gallery in the Grayson Perry exhibition and saw some Lucian Freud portraits on the weekend too which were all gr8, and watched Blue Is The Warmest Colour, a French film with Lea Seydoux which is v beautiful~~

I am listening to lots of Radiohead, War on Drugs and Parquet Courts, and I saw TEMPLES and MAC DEMARCO live recently!!!!
Temples was so beautiful, there was an analogue projection of psychedelic swirls of colour in their backdrop and James Bagshaw glittered all over and it was perfect.
Mac Demarco was FANTASTIC - he helped all his pals set up their set and then wandered onstage and someone threw their shoe at him so he played catch with it and smelt it lots and then he played the most joks encore without a shirt on. Passing Out Pieces was so fab live as well- he then proceeded to crowd surf and play the Top Gun theme tune for 10 minutes, occasionally singing in his v v low Rock n Roll Nightclub voice, it was all a dream <3

Sanctuary

top: lazy oaf, jacket and skirt: east end thrift store, shoes: new look
I have mocks tomorrow and haven't revised at all for half my subjects. This holiday I've mainly been revising and stuck inside because of the rain, so nothing much has happened except I am now a regular contributor to the Wandering Collective, an online publication thing and it's super cute so have a look here.

The maddest thing happened to me while I was in the east end thrift store the other day buying clothes, I found the exact same jacket that I had almost bought about a year ago on the Portobello Rd. It had the same small rip in the lining so I knew it was the same and this time I bought it omg how weird? It's so pretty and has a sequin detail on the back- I'm in love.
Here are some photos I took of my bedroom a few mornings ago, and my favourite Christmas presents. I got the Rookie Yearbook 2 which is so so beautiful and some other books and dvds and TAROT CARDS which are the best and remind me of that My So Called Life episode where Rayanne's mother teaches Angela how to use them. I also got super pretty glitter nail polish, a cute little kaleidoscope and a palmistry book so I can master the mysterious arts and become Mrs Trelawney and tell ur future.
I also added to my shrine and melted down all the candles around it so everything is stuck in the wax, and I stuck up all my posters and photos on my wall (finally).

My new years resolution to stay of the computer is really going well (pls recognise my sarcasm) -Bye from Daria x

Penpals Unite

Everyone can send me letters, especially people who aren't from the UK because its so weird thinking about someone's written letters going all round the world to eachother. Letters are more of a novelty now that technology is so advanced so I really like talking to people this way and its super cute so if we have similar interests or you just want to say something then please please send me an email requesting my address.

Glitter and Gold

My gold streamers from my art GCSE mock came in very useful when I decorated my room this morning. The winter sunlight came in and made my blue bedroom all gold and sparkly and it felt like spring again.
I am wearing a Tracey Emin tshirt and my kilt.
The plastic blue shrine has been mine since I was little and it contrasted prettily with the gold, as well as my nail polish. So colour co-ordinated yo x

✧ Feeling Festive DIY ✧

FESTIVE MORRISSEY DECORATIONS - The obvious way forward, to achieve festive cheer this year. Get out the glitter and print off a picture, (I tinted them pink on my computer's photo editing software) and stick them round your house to add some Christmassy cheer.
*cringe* lol but trust they look really cool espesh the glittery eyebrows. Obviously it doesn't have to be Morrissey but come on, I recently discovered he lived NOT TEN DOORS AWAY FROM ME towards the end of his life with the Smiths, how amazing is that? I went and stood outside his former home to gaze in awe at the windows he once looked through, the doorstep his lovely feet once stood upon ok I know this is creepy but he is someone to be adored, he encourages it. fun for all the family.
Place your new favourite decoration on top of your Christmas tree because he's an angel. Much love
