go away on a summer's day

(title lyrics are from Holiday - Vampire Weekend)
My exams are all finally overrrr (thank godd) and I am so happy. To celebrate, me and my friends Lily and Nell went to Thorpe Park to celebrate, and it was amazing. We had such a fun time and it was the first time I'd actually been on a proper rollercoaster. We went on loads of rides but Stealth was one of my favourites, and although the sun never actually came out, we went on a water ride and got soaked just as it started raining.
My favourite music at the moment is definitely anything by Swim Deep (I AM GOING TO SEE THEM LIVE IN SEPTEMBER I AM SO FUCKING HAPPY) and Splashh because they're such summery bands.
             Vacation - Splashh
             Step - Vampire Weekend
Here are a few photos we took (excuse the embarrassing selfies and my face, thanks)

Running round an abandoned theme park sounds amazing, like the scene in Submarine where Oliver Tate and Jordana stay out all night burning sparklers and roman candles. I've been looking at loads of fairground and theme park pictures and inspiration because I think it's all so pretty and cool.

Also, right now I think I am in love with Zachary Robinson, the drummer from Swim Deep. I actually think he's prettier than most girls, he's so gorgeous. Only about 90 days till I'll see him live in London I physically can't wait- just check out dat hairrr and his fashion sense <3

lolita

Copying Lolita's hair in the 1997 film- I watched it a few days ago, and I never knew Jeremy Irons was one of the main characters in it, he does all the acting and narrating the text really well.. He does a good 'Im-being-internally-tortured' face. Anyway, I loved the old 1981 Brideshead Revisited series with him in it as Charles Ryder. (the book 'Brideshead Revisited' is also one of my favourites)
Now that I've watched the film, I also sort-of want to read Lolita but what with exams and revision I can't even consider anything right now. Maybe in summer when the holidays start..

Okay short story-I was in Hampstead Heath once (in London) walking my dog, when I walked past this really angry looking man in full tweed and riding boots with a huge moustache and a tweed hat and it took me a full minute to realise it was Jeremy Irons so I was so amazed that I ran all the way back up the path he was on and just stopped right in front of him and almost fell over.. and then he just stared back at me and frowned even more, so I just apologized and backed away. But it was so exciting although I feel like he hated me for no reason.

trellick tower and denim jackets

On the weekend, I went to Golbourne Road and Portobello Market because it's so nice there and I hadn't been for ages. Also I wanted to look at one of my favourite buildings: Trellick Tower on Golbourne Road.  It's this huge block of flats designed by this Brutalist architect called ErnÅ‘ Goldfinger and if you look at it from the front, it looks just like an artwork with all these tiny bicycles and plants on the balconies of each floor, I love it. Also, right next to the building there's this small vintage shop called Rellick that a ton of models and sophisticated people go to thats wayyyy too out of my league in price range.. but everything there is beautiful and one day when I'm extremely rich I'll go there and buy one dress because that's still all i'll be able to afford. It's so insular that you have to actually ring the doorbell and be let in by the shop assistant, which is quite intimidating if you're only little me.

So after that I went to Portobello Market and saw this old yellow bomber jacket with the YAMAHA symbol on the back, and I loved it so much and it was only £17 so I bought it, and I can't wait to wear it when summer finally decides that it's here to stay in England.
There was also this acid-wash denim jacket with the prettiest sequin circle pattern on the back and I wanted it so badly but I'm trying to save money (although I may be failing at it) so I had to leave it behind..

In compensation for not buying it, I am planning to find a cheap old denim jacket somewhere like Camden Market, and then do my own design on the back of it..

excuse the hair but i've been waiting since forever to try and do it..
