Botanical

Looking moody by Dani @ Barbican
Recently, I went on a super cute trip with Dani, Agnes, Gloria and Maddie to the Barbican Centre ~ the Conservatory was open (which is sort-of rare) and it was so lovely walking along the concrete stairways and looking at the huge tropical ferns and cacti. Then we sat in the cafe and although it rained, we walked around by the fountain and wished that we lived in one of the flats so that we could have hanging vines outside our windows.

I went to see the Hockney exhibition: 'The Arrival of Spring' and it totally reconfirmed by strong love for David Hockney's work~the detail of the charcoal and the intense colour in the iPad prints is so lovely. The collection was in a very small Mayfair gallery, so I got to look round alone, which made it even lovelier.

I got some fab new clothes recently from East End Thrift Store, some other shops and eBay (new-found birthday money tucked in a book is da one)~~~
Matisse socks // Matisse post-card // fine art yea
Lol everything from east end thrift store except socks = ebay and shoes = Liberty x Nike (ebay)
Totoro badge from etsy ~ Topshop socks ~ Bandana is stolen from my dad ~
 everything else is east end thrift store
T-shirt onto which I embroidered one of my life drawings~ Boots are Vagabond ~
skirt is east end thrift store
I've been doing lots of embroidery at the moment to practise for sewing onto shirts that I can actually wear~ I loved doing my last art exam module in which I did a mix of embroidery and drawings, so I sort of continued it for myself by gradually embroidering images of my hands onto a French lace christening dress. It looks super pretty hanging on my window with the light streaming through it.

Lastly,
~~~Happy belated Birthday 2 my one and only Morrissey u babe ~~~
