RT ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ART ARTA ART
It's almost CHRISTMAS that means a new Peace xmas song cover and festivities and holidays soon!!! Time 4 lots of fur and tea and tinsel everywhere (Also seeing Peace for the 6th time in December!!)

I also recently did lots of work experience at the National Portrait Gallery in the Grayson Perry exhibition and saw some Lucian Freud portraits on the weekend too which were all gr8, and watched Blue Is The Warmest Colour, a French film with Lea Seydoux which is v beautiful~~

I am listening to lots of Radiohead, War on Drugs and Parquet Courts, and I saw TEMPLES and MAC DEMARCO live recently!!!!
Temples was so beautiful, there was an analogue projection of psychedelic swirls of colour in their backdrop and James Bagshaw glittered all over and it was perfect.
Mac Demarco was FANTASTIC - he helped all his pals set up their set and then wandered onstage and someone threw their shoe at him so he played catch with it and smelt it lots and then he played the most joks encore without a shirt on. Passing Out Pieces was so fab live as well- he then proceeded to crowd surf and play the Top Gun theme tune for 10 minutes, occasionally singing in his v v low Rock n Roll Nightclub voice, it was all a dream <3

Same As It Ever Was

A series of strange dreams last night:

* Dream 1 *
I was in an artist studio, sitting at a chair with an easel in front of me. In the middle of the circle of empty chairs was a raised stool. Morrissey was sitting on it, weeping and in between sobs he was quoting his own song lyrics from How Soon Is Now and First Of The Gang to Die. I drew him with pink pencils.

* Dream 2 *
I was walking along a pier that jutted out into a small lake, and there were lots of boats tied up. Each fishing boat had a glass dome over the roof which was filled with jungle plants and trees. When I reached the end of the pier it turned into a flight of steps to a greenhouse that had little waterfalls and strange sculptures inside.

* Dream 3 *
I was walking through the park by my house alone late at night, and as I looked up at the orange streetlight, the orange in my vision sort of seeped into everything. I tripped on the pavement and as my sight was jolted, all the blue from the night sky and the shadows dripped and smudged down over what I could see and faded away.

STELLA ARTOIS x BLUE NUDES
(Project I'm working on)

Above journal pages from the last month or two, not getting much done because art projects and college and I'm sleepy. Watched some music documentaries recently: Pulp and the Smiths, both of which were so great and enhanced my love for Morrissey and Jarvis Cocker.

IM  ALSO SEEING MY FAVOURITE MAN EVER MAC DEMARCO IN LIKE A WEEK WHICH IS GNA BE SO GOOD <3

For Halloween, I dressed up as Yolandi Vi$$er from Die Antwoord avec mon ami (DIY zef tracksuits yh yh) and went to a church and did Halloween things xoxo

I don't have much to say apart from the fact that PEACE ARE FINALLY RELEASING A NEW ALBUM soon which is going to be the best thing ever ~~~
I listen to Fur, the B-side of my Lost On Me vinyl every night and it's in my opinion one of Harrison Koisser's best new songs so I can't wait to see them again (for the 7th time!!!) and I hope they play it <333

I have also been listening to...
Syro // Aphex Twin
A Different Class // Pulp
Seniors // HALA
You're Dead! // Flying Lotus

Goodnight.

Lemonade Lake

Harrison Koisser is really important
~~Peace at Reading fest~~
Everything's very strange, some of my friends are already turning 17 and I'm not ready to think about life and real responsibilities and the exams I'm taking in the future actually meaning something THAT WILL AFFECT MY LIFE (??) no no not for me, I want to be 16 forever and not think about real life and university (although it sounds exciting) and I just want to make art in my bedroom.

I have too much homework to be able to do embroidery and sketching for myself during schooltime which is super depressing because now I feel like very unimaginative and brain-dead from too many history essays and not enough art. I've done some pages in my big book but I feel like nothing's original or anything to be proud of at the moment so I hope I'll get over it.
But I did this super cool collab with the very-talented Areena, inspired bLupita Nyong'o and Sylvia Plath(!!! ) below:

I've been listening to lots of Cherry Glazerr, Jungle, Rock and Roll Nightclub Mac Demarco, The Wytches, The Doors, and Bob Dylan, because Bob will always be there to sing the soundtrack of change in my life and I listened to all his records when I had friends round to play for a week-long of summer, so it's very nostalgic <333

But also Autumn is coming and that means wearing a coat indoors is acceptable again, I can wear thick jumpers 24/7, drink lots of tea without being uncomfortably warm and there will be crunchy leaves and apple crumble and Halloween and then it's almost Christmas (!!)

I'm excited about school sixth form because I read a lot of Virginia Woolf over the summer, and now we're studying To The Lighthouse: one of her more Modernist-movement novels which is so interesting. I also listened to all of Grayson Perry's Reith Lectures late on a sunday night and they're so well articulated about the contemporary art world: it made me super excited for Grayson's NPG exhibition this year <3
